Hello everyone! We are very proud to announce new games for EndGame’s own Anthony Brown with Songs of Our Ancestors and friend of the store and all around nice guy Eric Vogel with Armorica.
Dresden Files RPG – Now releasing June 24th! We have received clearance to release the Dresden Files RPG at the same time as its release at Origins!
Armorica: $12.00
Designer: Eric Vogel
Players: 2-4
Playing Time: 30 minutes
Age: 12+
Armorica is published by local gamer and game designer Eric B. Vogel who playtested Armorica at Wednesday Board Game night here at EndGame. We are proud to have sold the first copy of Armorica anywhere and wish Eric much success.
It is 100 AD and the Celtic nation of Armorica (Brittany) has been conquered by the Roman Empire. Now, the administrators of Armorica try to increase their prestige by attracting wealthy Romans immigrants. However, Roman Patricians have expensive tastes, and it will take a lot of development to make a barbaric province like Armorica appealing.
Armorica is the third game in Vainglorious Games’ Celtic Nations series. It is a challenging card-drafting game, in which players must anticipate the likely choices of their opponents in order to win. Each turn, players select cards from face up displays and add them to their personal tableaus. Icons in player’s personal tableaus increase the range of cards from which they can select, allow them to retain more cards in their tableaus, and provide different sources of victory points.
The Golden City: $54.99
Designer: Michael Schacht
Players: 3-4
Playing Time: 60 minutes
Age: 10+
Golden City is from Michael Schacht designer of Coloretto and Zooleretto. The Golden City is a game for 3-4 players. In The Golden City players vie to gain the most letters of business, awarded each round for well placed businesses. Every round players bid against each other for the best cards, which are used to place businesses around and in the Golden City. Players get ‘letters’ for having goods and for having businesses in the right places. For players who manage to be the only person with a particular good or business you will be rewarded with extra ‘letters’ which can be a vital way of breaking away from the pack if you can pull it off. In addition to these rewards, different building locations also have once off bonuses that can reward a player with extra coins to be used in the bidding phase, bonus cards that provide a secret way of scoring extra ‘letters’ or a range of other useful things. Players need to balance out the desire to score ‘letters’ each round with the important bonuses you can gain from certain locations. Restrictions based on the cards you managed to win in the bidding play a key role, and the desire to block or hamper another player can play a key role in decision-making.

Reign Enchiridion: $9.99
REIGN Enchiridion contains the essential rules for Greg Stolze’s fantasy roleplaying game “REIGN: A Game of Lords and Leaders.”
REIGN expands the frontiers of fantasy gaming by elevating the action to an international stage. Monarchs, mercenaries and merchant princes gamble armies and fortunes to win nations in a rich and vibrant fantasy setting. REIGN’s simple but complete rules model the triumphs and disasters of societies as small as a village or as large as a realm-spanning religion. With REIGN, your characters can defend threatened nations, bring prosperity to desperate provinces, make laws and perpetuate justice… or, if you prefer, loot, conquer and pillage on a vast and awesome scale.
Powered by a fantasy-optimized version of the One-Roll Engine (or ORE) popularized by Godlike, Wild Talents, and Monsters and Other Childish Things, REIGN can take your characters from beggars to emperors. The ORE resolves events in delicate detail without cumbersome layers of contingent rolls.
The group-resolution rules from REIGN are self-contained and modular. It’s a simple matter to stack them on top of any other RPG system. Want a concrete way to model what happens to the city when your superheroes destroy the Cult of Moloch Triumphant? Use REIGN to stat up the city and the cult. Ever wonder who’d win if two rival government conspiracies went head to head? REIGN lets you measure their weaknesses and strengths, then test them against one another. Fantasy kingdoms, cosmic empires and secretive cabals can all be easily managed and modeled with REIGN.
REIGN Enchiridion includes:
The essential rules for REIGN, without the detailed setting-specific elements that are in the larger core book.
Material from the first two years of online REIGN supplements, such as rules for building new spells and new schools of sorcery from scratch.
Two new gamer-friendly tools, included by popular demand: “One-Roll Spells” and “One-Roll Monsters.”
Dungeons and Dragons: Monster Manual 3: $34.95
Monster Manual 3 packs in over 200 new monsters to menace player characters. Classic monsters such as the derro, the mimic, and Lolth (Demon Queen of Spiders) make their first appearance here. In addition, this book includes scores of new monsters to challenge characters of heroic, paragon, and epic level, including deadly catastrophic dragons!
Dark Dungeons: $25.00
Dark Dungeons is a retro-clone role-playing game in the style of old-school 1980’s and 1990’s RPG’s. Harking back to the days when rogues were thieves, races were classes, and you could start your adventuring career exploring a few basic dungeons and end up traveling the planes as an immortal being of pure divine power.
Dark Dungeons contains the entire game in a single volume.
Grab some dice and form a party like it’s 1989!
