DresdaCon
“My name is Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden. Conjure by it at your own risk. When things get strange, when what goes bump in the night flicks on the lights, when no one else can help you, give me a call. I’m in the book.”
To celebrate the release of The Dresden Files Role Playing Game, EndGame is pleased to announce DresdaCon—a full day of nothing but games set in the “Dresdaverse.” Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 10!
The DFRPG will hit store shelves late June, just in time for this event. As a reminder, anyone who pre-orders the books from us will receive a full and complete PDF at the time of purchase. We will then hand you the books as soon as we get them.
Each game session will last roughly four hours. Your GM will provide a “mostly pre-made” city and set of characters. You will need to fill in some of the details during the session, which is half the fun. The GM will also teach the rules during play, so don’t worry there.
As we get closer to the event, we will announce some special guests from Evil Hat Productions. Currently, we have two confirmed. We are pleased to have Lead Project Developer, Ryan Macklin run one of our tables, sign books, and answer your questions.
We also have the Author of A Penny for My Thoughts, Paul Tevis!
We are also very pleased to announce that Fred Hicks, one of the game’s authors and the guy who did the layout (and forgot to give himself a credit in the book — typical), will be on hand as well, all the way over from the East Coast, cementing Dresdacon as the official west coast release party. Fred won’t be running a table, but he will be on hand behind the counter to shake hands, sign books, and answer questions all day long. He can also talk about the other games in Evil Hat’s catalog, of course.
A further update, and another Evil Hatter is joining us! Lenny Balsera, Lead System Designer, and the true workhorse behind The Dresden Files RPG will not only be here, he is taking on a 1pm table slot. Woot!
Please Note, if you would just like to meet Lenny, Fred, Ryan, or Paul just drop by anytime between 10am and 7pm. They will be happy to chat or sign your books. We won’t have a specific block of time to do this…they’ll be here all day! We also want to thank Adan Tejada. He will have food from Mario’s La Fiesta for all the attendees. (Small bites, like Chicken Taquitos, chips, etc.)
We have two sessions scheduled If you would like join us, drop us a line with your choice of either 11am or 1pm. Sign me up!
