It may be a poorly kept secret, but Endgame is home to the Oakland Blood Bowl League (http://www.obbl.org). For those unfamiliar, Blood Bowl is a Games Workshop Tabletop Miniatures Boardgame simulating rugby/football with fantasy themed miniatures. The OBBL was founded in 2002 at Endgame's previous location and is still going strong. We are always looking for new coaches, both veterans and rookies, and meet at Endgame Tuesday nights at 6:30 (though due to scheduling and numbers of coaches, some Tuesdays are skipped). We generally run approximately two fixed schedule seasons a year, with the occasional one day tournament, but even if you're too early or late for a season, you're encouraged to sign up and meet other coaches and get in some pick-up games. If you're interested, the two best places to find us are at our website http://WWW.OBBL.ORG or through our Yahoo Mailing List at http://games.groups.yahoo.com/…..roup/obbl/  Our next season will kick off next Tuesday, July 13th, so drop by and check out the game if you're curious.

Please feel free to ask any questions in this thread, and we'll do our best to answer them. See you on the pitch!

I, for one, will be there, looking to stomp some halflings into the turf.

Is there anything a new player has to do for signup?  I'm a bit new to the latest rules in tabletop form, but I do have some experience with the PC version.  I mostly played back in the Bad Old Days: the goofy grey pitch, the two hardbacks, plus the unmitigated joy/torture of Dungeonbowl.

Hi DocT,

The easiest way to get in touch with the league is to join the Yahoo Mailing list. Most conversations and scheduling of games occur there. Once you get in touch with Jeff, the league comissioner, through the mailing list, he'll give you a login and password to the OBBL site and you can log in and make your team. I think the new season is starting Aug. 3rd, so you'll need to join soon to get in for this go around.

If you'd rather ease in, people are often willing to play one-off tune up games on league nights if they don't have game scheduled. I'm taking this season off from the league, so I'd be happy to play sometime. Either way joining the Yahoo group should get you in touch with the other coaches. Hope to see you on a league night soon,

Nick
