So I should probably have charging ironed out by now, but was hoping someone could clear this up for me.  If I'm charging, does it need to be in a straight line to the center of my target?  I know I need to have LoS and then I need to move along a straight path to my target, but can I move towards the edge of my target?  Or if I have LoS with someone with say a 3″ melee range, can I actually charge 2″ to the left of my target (because I'm technically still moving on a straight path towards my target) and then swing from there?

**Edit:  It looks like the new errata clears that up and moving towards something must be by the shortest distance possible (page 2) — implying you would need to charge towards the center of the model.  Let me know if this is how anyone else is reading it…

Also, if you didn't know, the new errata and FAQ are live!  I haven't noticed anything super crazy yet, but I've only gone through the FAQ and the first two pages of the errata.  One key thing is that you can use a soulstone for a second flip even if you get the black joker on your first flip–and thus Aaron should have probably won our last game :P

The charge section of the errata (page 3) doesn't say anything about shortest possible distance. It also doesn't use the term "toward". I think your example above is fine. On page 2 where it talks about the shortest possible distance, this is in reference to being forced to move, such as a push or other spell effect. I don't think that applies to a charge.

I'd concur with Lance on this one. The primary issues with charging seem to be (1) LOS, (2) in a straight line
