I've been thinking about giving Malifaux a shot. Anybody ever play at all at endgame? Any thoughts from somebody who has played the game, good, bad, indifferent? Really like the models, that was my main motivation for giving the game a look.

Love the models too. We had a group of people playing for a bit, then it kinda trickled and has not been going for a while. There might be some still interested, though lately there has been more Warmachine/Hordes, Quar and Infinity for skirmish games going on.
Ive been enjoing Warmachine myself lately and we have a small league going on.

I am interested in doing Malifaux altho I haven't played the game. I have two fully painted crew (Red Chapel Gang and Pandora) so I am ready to try it out with someone else even if we got to stumble through it together. I believe Adan has a couple of crews as well. I am thinking of trying it out on Wednesday when we have the warmachine/hordes crowd there.

I played back when we first started and wasn't a huge fan–I think my crew choice was a contributing factor though (didn't match my play style) and I also had some issues with the balance/feeling like games were already stacked one way or another from the beginning due to the random scenarios (which I hear has been adjusted.) I traded away my old crew, but would potentially look into how things have changed if there was enough interest.
I love the models though!

I really like the game. I like the card mechanic and I like the integrated turn sequence. I have a couple of crews and I would definitely be up for playing again. I don't want to take the steam out of the War Machine scene, but I'm willing to play.

Not going to be able to make it out Wednesday this week because of some overtime, but I'm going to try to at least pick up the book in the next few days. Seems like we have a few people interested in playing, so I might pick up some models too. Once I learn some of the basics and get a crew together I'll see if we can set up some demo games.

Picked up the book, thinking about what faction to play. I'm really liking Guild, especially Lady Justice or the Ortegas. What do you guys have? If everybody else is playing Guild I can pick someting else.

I have Seamus crew (Resurectionist) and Pandora's crew (Neverborn). I don't stick to one faction per say but go with the crew that I like the model or one that I got deal on with trades. Adan does the Guild (he has the hots for Lady Jugs). I'd just go for the faction that appeals looks-wise to you. Be sure to check out Wyrd miniatures this weekend as they have some gencon exclusives up just for the weekend and early release for a bunch of models. The Nightmare Edition Lady J crew and Teddy is being sold just this weekend so it'll be rare for sure.

I have Lady J and Perdita (Guild). I own Marcus, but I'm not getting it with him. I'll probably be moving him out. I just bought the Sonia Criid Avatar form, so I'll ahve another GUild master. I got the Lady J nightmare (limited) box set and her Avatar as well. Looking forward to more Malifuax!

Finally decided on a crew and they're on their way! I picked up the Viktorias and some outcasts. After I get them assembled I'll be looking to get a demo game with one of you who has played before. I've read through the rules some now, but I find that it's easier to pick up a new game by playing it.

Ok! I'm very interested in playing Malifaux again :) I've been reading book two and three but haven't yet had a chance to play from either. I've got McMourning, Pandora, Nicodem, Collette, and Kirai. Though I haven't had time to actually play Collete or Kirai. I also got the nightmare Justice crew but I hadn't planned on playing them as guild, just as cool models for my res crews. Next week I'll be on morning classes for a change so I'll be able to come in. Are we meeting for this on Wed nights? Also it seems like warmachine has the floor right now, do we need to hold off until the current campaign/tournament is finished?
Also to avoid confusion on the rules there is a new rule book out with all the changes to the basic rules and it's only $15 bucks. The stat cards have been updated too. I posted about this a while back when you could send in your cards for a free updated version. You'll have to pay now to get the new cards. As long as you don't have a huge collection it shouldn't be too pricey.

The Warmachine games don't dominate the space, so it should be fine. Both games are played on 4x4 (or 3x3) so that makes it even easier to share the space.

Several of the models I ordered are on backorder, as were the micro-arts studios bases I wanted to put them on. But if people are going to play on Wednesday I'd definitely like to check it out and at least watch a game being played. Might bring out a War Machine army while I'm at it.
