Hey everyone,

I have not posted to a forum in a really long time, but this is definitely a good place to start back up. I go by JD to mostly everyone and I am a huge Tyranid player for 40K. I got started about a year and a half ago playing tabletop games and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Why the title is called such is thats the name of my Nid army. They crave biomass like any other Tyranids, but they are specifically attracted to the grapes and thus have acute senses to planets that have a vast quantity of grape-type biomass.

That aside, I have only really played 40K with fellow friends in the bay area that have their own armies, but I would like to expand to playing against new people. I really love the tables and set up at Endgame and hope to be making regular weekly or once every two weeks stops to play against others.

I am also trying to build my own wargaming table that can fold up and be stored when not in use, any suggestions on material on that project would be awesome.

Hope to see many of your armies on the table soon,

JD

Welcome JD!

Are your 'nids purple?  wink

There have been tons of people on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays (and even some Sundays it appears).  Folks are always happy to play new people.

If you search around on the web, there are several tutorials for game tables.  The Druken Dwarves have a very sturdy one, but it doesn't collapse.  Many people use 2x2 pieces of MDF or insulation foam to make modular tables that can be stored.  I used 2x4 pieces of mdf peg-board that I secure at the ends with flat-head bolts and metal straps.  I then cover them with a Woodland Scenics mat (there are other brands out there).  It all store flat against the wall in the garage.

Have fun!!
