I finally got started on painting Hive Fleet Nidhoggr!
I've got 2 Venomthropes so far, and so decided to put those up. 
That's what I've got for now. I'll upload more once I get my warriors painted.

For the tentacles and venom sacs I did a medium flesh color, then highlighted with a pallid flesh color, then washed it with a semi-dark red. I thinned out the red quite a bit so it wouldn't cover up the flesh tone too much.
I was using the Reaper paints, and I've been thinning them out more than usual to get that kind of coloration on my nids.

Nice. The tendrils are fleshy-looking, which makes them quite creepy… which is a good thing, in this instance…
Can't wait to see what the hive produces next.

Just a heads up, I've gotten 6 warriors and first Tyranid Prime painted up!
I'll have images up as soon as I can find some free time to takes some pictures 
edit: I should also have some WIP shots of my first Tyranofex to boot!

Alrighty, I finally got down to my basement with a camera, and this is what I've got (some of the pictures turned out blurrier than expected, so this is what came out well)
First brood of Tyranid Warriors
 
Second Warrior Brood
 
Tyranid Prime (w/ cloak of barbs) … haven't painted the base spikes yet, but oh well
 
And now, the first 500 points in its entirity!
And, some WIP shots of my first Tyanofex (including the customized base)
   
Hopefully I'll have painted pics of my tyranofex (and, with any luck, more!) soon.
