Welcome to another installment in our BIG FUN SATURDAY 2011 season! This Saturday, we are featuring Pathfinder!
If you haven’t played Pathfinder, here is a little bit about what it is:
The Pathfinder Roleplaying Game (abbreviated as PFRPG) is a fantasy role-playing game (RPG) first published in 2009 by Paizo Publishing. It extends and modifies the Revised 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons’ game rules published by Wizards of the Coast under the Open Game License, and was designed on the course of one year with the help of gamers that could download the playtest documents, try the system and post their feedback in Paizo’s website. Announced in March 2008, the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game was finally released in August 2009. The PFRPG is intended to be backward-compatible with D&D3.5
In Pathfinder Society Organized Play, you play a member of the Pathfinder Society, seeking fortune and glory all over the face of Golarion. At the same time, your character works for one of the five competing nation-based factions, all with their own motivations and secret agendas.
Pathfinder Society Organized Play is a constantly evolving mega-campaign played by thousands of players and the adventures you experience are shared by players around the world. Play is organized into Seasons, throughout which the actions and achievements of you and your fellow Pathfinders create an ongoing storyline.
If you have played before, or would like to try it for the first time, we can help! Saturday, 2/12 we will offer four tables from 11am to 2pm and 2pm to 6pm (2 at each time slot). Characters will be provided; all you will need to do is show ready to play!
You can register for this event on Warhorn, the same site we use to register for our Monday night events. Just go to http://www.warhorn.net/endgame, register, find the date and time you want to play, and sign up for a game with space available. We try to reserve spaces for new player drop-ins, but registering is the best way to ensure you get a space
(Remember, we also host the Pathfinder Society every Monday night at 6.45pm.)
