I've been told on several occasions that a character doesn't count as an ally to itself.  Could someone point me to the book & page combo that indicates this, because Dragon published an article (http://wizards.com/dnd/Print.a…..d/20071128) that says exactly the opposite, albeit prior to the official release of 4e.  Thanks.
