On the 40k Fight Club website, I've been mucking about with the idea of having a Narrative 40k Campaign to cut through the tedium of one off games. In so far, these are the basic additions to your typical 40k game that we've been thinking about. Plan to have campaign games on Saturdays, maybe some Tuesdays, depends on participation.
Current Idea:
Objective Tokens give advantages for the next game, they're cumulative
up to a total of ten that can be stored, a few may even modify
vehicle/characters/squads. Though these modifications can't be changed
to another vehicle/character/squad once it's destroyed/wiped out/reduced
to 25% or less. ( Think ranged weapon/close combat bonuses for squads, artillery barrages, etc )
Some 3rd Edition Scenarios
1500 Narrative Campaign that'll eventually hopefully lead to EXP and what not if there is enough interest.
Only troops can claim/contest objectives and that if two opposing forces
are on an objective at the end of the game, they fight in close combat
until one side routes or gets wiped out.
A predetermined sidebar ( set by you ) of 250 points, allowing you to
switch out some things out of your 1500 list, in some scenario games
you'll be required to use 1750 points.
The sidebar can be used before the game starts, allowing you to switch
things around so you're not stuck using the exact same list.
The sidebar can gain and lose experience, just think of it as another detachment from the main force. (That is if EXP is wanted by those who play in the campaign. Though that's a whole other discussion)
Rules and the like are still being discussed, but the aforementioned rules will more than likely be involved in the campaign itself. So if you're interested, leave a message and we'll figure stuff out.

Cool, that makes three so far.
If we find one more, we can start sooner than later, makes things easier if there's an even number of participants.

I'd bring the Fists out, but Tuesdays work best for me.

Awesome, still gauging interest on the 40k Fight Club forum.
I'm probably going to use my Necrons and they're mostly done ( paint wise ).
Hashing out a few ideas, getting stuff done and then I'll announce the day when people should gather so we can figure out gaming days and actually meet each other face to face.
Tuesday and Saturday gaming shouldn't be to difficult, I'm there most Tuesdays to game and Saturdays to paint as my place isn't exactly suited for it.

One thing that I thought would be a cool idea for a campaign, in terms of organizing is don't designate who plays who. Split people into two teams (or maybe more teams), post a set of missions by Day X of the week and let each team decide who takes what mission. Missions could vary in type (i.e. from old books, battle missions whatever) could vary in points value and terrain, could vary in terms of what is played (i.e. rescue must happen by tuesday, but pitched battle can wait till sunday)… and could vary in what is gained from winning the missions.

Could do a team thing, but that really depends on how many participants are in the Campaign.
I have to have a final count or at least a measure of how many will be playing, because on that end, I know how many people can be in either Imperial/Heretical/Xenos groups.
Planetary Empires set would be a neat representation. I'll try to work a format around that and see if I can keep it in the whole simple approach I'm aiming for at the moment.

Woot, Adan.
I'm working on some background for the campaign.
Also figuring out what the objective counters will be.

Awesome, I'm working on fleshing out a few concepts.
Running them through a few friends who just got out of a 40k campaign and getting their insight.
