We had a thread on the old forums asking who was heading to the Dundracon 40K RTT. Since that is gone, lets get a run down here.
I'm in with my painted (thanks to Erch) Orks.
Who else is heading down?

…. or maybe Serenity RPG….

Sounds like there is no pre-reg for the RTT.

I will be there with my kroot counts as tyranids force. Should be very educational as I have not played much with the new book. See you there!

heh you better come up with a larger model if you intend to field a Trygon or Mawloc! =D
Zach – why are you on the fence about going now? (or are you going but not sure you are doing RTT)
I am in with my Death Guard. Pre-reged a long time ago and got my room.

Carl, I have some stuff up my sleeves to represent all of the tyranid monsters. They should look very impressive once painted. See you there.

I stumbled onto a blog with the beginings of a cool Death Guard display board for an up-coming tournament…

So I went down to the guys running the tournament the next day and got a printed copy of the results. I went ahead and put them all into a spreadsheet so you guys that went could see the results. Here they are:

I had a great time. Especially at the dinner after the fact. Thanks to everyone who came! Thanks to Endgame for providing the prize support. And thanks to Chad for running the tournament!

Carl, congrats on the "Best Paint" award. Also kudos to Joshua for the "Best Sport" award. I was happy to see all of the players show up, and there seemed to be a decent variety of armies.
Hope we see you again before the next DunDraCon.
<edit> Whoa! What is with the scores?? How did I end up 3rd worst paint, 2nd worst COMP?? and 3rd worst sports? That's kinda crazy. I didn't have any unpainted models, and while I don't flock all of my bases, I paint them. A Sisters army with only two rhinos and NO exorcists and I end up with 2nd worst comp? Wow….
Maybe if I'd have shaved I would have done better on the sports… I guess I shouldn't have called the 14 year old on over-moving his models? Wow….

How'd Bruch get a 29 on paint with unpainted models? Also 15 on comp with 3 x Trygons? Kroot are hypnotizing!
Or maybe it was the "Gnarloc" t-shirt
But seriously how did the guy that won get a 30 on sportsmanship scores? Jeff and Frank? Doesn't getting any rule wrong in your army ding you a few points?

LOL I got 19 on my sportsman the lowest of everyone? I demand a recount hehe. Unless Jeff really did give me no sports and my friend of 20 years did the same as well hehe.
Oh wait guys you are all trying to tell me something…
Am I really that bad of a guy to play with?
How do i go from Best Sportsman two years ago to worst so fast… Oh the humanity hehe
I call shennanigans!!!

Apparently, somehow I've become a bad sprostman too? 20? That's hillarious. Exactly why I think sportsmanship scores are such crap.
Maybe Joshua trying to tell me something? Don't like being called on LoS? heh.
Maybe my actually calling people on thier rules, or making sure they only measure the unit they are moving, or actually have LoS when they shoot?
I bring the most balanced Ork list you will ever see in a tourney, make sure I know my rules and my opponents, show my opponent quickly when they've got a rule wrong, admit quickly when I have something wrong, move fast, show up on time, finish games….
Hell, I even gave some minor suggestions to both 'nid players that helped their game…funny.
Wow.
Oh well…maybe I shouldn't waste my time with tourneys.
When I judge tourneys, I call people up to explain those kinds of sportsmanship scores. They better justify them, or I'm not accepting them.
Or, just drop them since its a way people try to manipulate the outcome in their favor after the fact.

I'm trying to figure out how I could have gotten a 20 on sportsmanship.
The only way I see it possible is if Both Joshua and my last opponent gave me 5s I know my first opponent gave me a 10.
That's bizarre.
