I assume it's ok with the idea of posting our starting pics (and possibly 'completed' pics) to get credit for painting in the league. I spent a Sunday afternoon gluing, pinning and base coating… looks like Legion might require a lot of pinning of small parts,

Ahhh…. Nice and clean. Luckily, it looks like the person that painted these originally didn't use primer, so the paint came off pretty quickly.

Does a unit attachment count as part of the unit, or do I get credit for a 2-man unit painted?
Never mind… I found the answer in the rules.. no, it looks like it counts as part of the unit

Tangential question: Chad, you mentioned a spray-on matte varnish, but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. The chipped paint is becoming quite a nuissance and if you could jog my memory that would be golden.
As soon as I get my hands on a camera I'll have at least 11 hobby points to drop…

Not sure what you're using currently, but a coat of Krylon gloss with GW Purity Seal over it works well for me.
