Hey I just wanted to find out if you hold regular tournaments at Endgame for Warmachine or Hordes? We have a regular group in Sacramento that plays quite a bit and there has been a lot of talk recently about traveling to other shops for tournies over an above our regular monthly events.

I met a few of your players last year at Kubla and they mentioned you have a pretty solid group so I was hoping to find out the schedule and maybe we can get some games in.   If you dont have tournies do you have days where a group of your players regularly show up? The other posts seem to indicate Wed and Sun but those sounded like they were still fluxuating and the calendar didnt have WM/Hordes specifically listed.

We are all still very much getting started with Warmachine with one or two exceptions, but it would be really rad to have some visitors.  We haven't gotten anything down for tournaments or events yet, either, since we're all so new.  We use the matchmaking forum for games, though Wednesday and Sunday have been the regular days.

Where do you guys game in Sacramento?  I'd be down for making a trip up, too!

If you schedule a tournament or a big gaming day let us know and hopefully a few of us can make it to your shop.  We have driven to Vacaville and even Game Kastle so Im pretty sure Oakland is a definate possibility, especially for tournaments.

To answer your question. We play at Great Escape Games in Sacramento.  It is right off the Business 80 loop near Cal Exposition.  We play mainly on Tuesday night and Sunday and have a monthly tournament (next one is Feb 21).  However, aside from the store we have a forum that we use at:   http://sacwarmachine.9.forumer.com  On there you can get a game pretty much any day of the week with enough notice.

GEG is a great supporter of hobbists!  I used to play A Game of Thrones CCG there, and I've played in several 40K and Fantasy tournaments there.

It would be great to get some Endgame/GEG "exchange program" days going…

An "exchange program" would be great which is why I want to find out when you have events so they can be posted on our forum. So far we have been very lucky to have folks show up from Modesto, Santa Clara and Reno at our tournaments.  Some of our group will be travelling to Vacaville on the 27th (Unfortunatly Black Diamond Games in Concord has their tourney the same day so we cant go to both).

Basically our Warmachine/Hordes group has been trying to find ways to expand the community and as part of that we have started discussing ways to have  larger tournaments/ travelling to other shops.

The 40k tournaments are pretty amazing, while I havent been activly playing it for a couple years, I was just talking to the store owner and the last tournament at GEG had almost 70 players show up.

As for painting,  our group doesnt mandate fully painted armies, as we prefer full participation but I agree that it is pretty nice to see some color rather than the silver army of doom across the table.  Im personally shooting for a fully painted army for Kubla this year but we will see how things go.

Once I get some more of my Cygnar stuff painted up you can count on me being at one of the monthly tourney events.  I'll drive anyone from the Bay up, too.  Wish I could make the February event, but sadly work has me at a trade show that weekend.  Oh well, more time to paint.

Once I expand my army a bit more and get a little more familiar with the rules I would not  mind making the trip once in a while either.

I'm not sure about the forum "etiquette", or whatever, but I'm sure Finn will delete this if I am breaking rules.

"Forum etiquette or whatever" is that you contact Finn before you post anything you consider questionable. Please see the forum guidelines – this is quite explicit. I have truncated your post pending review by the EndGame staff and will reinstate it later if the guys all think it's OK. Meanwhile, consider this an admin warning.

I was looking at the mini con page and it looks like it is just rpg's so far.  Are you expecting any miniature games to be registered or is that a no go with space issues?

As a side note, there are now two events for Kubla up on the con site which is pretty exciting! Hopefully we have another year of good turnout there.  I know endgame has been a big supporter of the con in the past so if we dont have a chance to game togeather before then maybe I can work out time for some games with a few of you at the con?

Also for those of you up for travelling on the tournament circut, GEG in sac is having a WM/Hordes tourny on March Sun 21st and Vacaville will be holding one on the Sat 27th.

The minicon is all RPG.  We've talked about a minis-minicon, but that's basically most Saturdays. Cool  Well, not really, it would be nice to have some structured events.

I'd love to see a WM/Hordes event scheduled for Endgame.  I'd be up for giving someone three wins…

Where in Vacaville?
