ENDGAME WARMACHINE/HORDES 1 MONTH PAINT CHALLENGE FOR JANUARY

Goal Summary: The main goal is a motivate people toward painting their Privateer Press models. A person in the challenge is to paint 35 points worth of Warmachine/Hordes miniatures in one month’s time. Everyone participating in the challenge will throw $5 in the pot with the winner of the challenge taking the pot.

Cost: $5 (pooled for the prize) collected at the beginning of the challenge

Prize: Gift card to Endgame

Start date: January 1st

End date: January 31st

Winner: Highest percentage painted out of the 35 pts (round down) at the end of the month or in the case of a tie, participants will vote on the best looking paint job of those who tied (in person).

Details: Paint a flat 35pts of any warmachine/hordes models you want from any faction (standard PP rules for painting/conversions apply). Models maybe be assembled and primed. Participants are required to post pics of their finished model or may show all their finished models in person to majority of the participants.

Casters are worth a flat 5 points plus don't subtract from the cost of any jacks/beast painted during the challenge. Otherwise use the normal point cost for the model regardless of the number or size of the model.

In the case of a tie (e.g. a few people finish painting their 35 pts), the participants will all vote on which models are painted the best (that tied). All participants will gather in person to view the models and vote when convenient (for January’s challenge we will meet on Wed., Feb. 1st). For those unable to attend, they can send in their vote beforehand (hopefully they will have a good idea what people painted models look like)

Please sign-up below if you wish to participate. If you do sign-up, the last day to back out of the challenge is December 31st (otherwise your committed for the $5)

Looking to paint Skaldi Bonehammer, Champion Hero, max Long Riders, Horthol, Dahlia Hallyr & Skarath, and Jarl. This is 36 points, but I do not currently have the models necessary for an even 35 and there is absolutely no way I am going to paint all of this in January anyways. I would be stoked to get through Skaldi, the Hero, the Long Riders, and Horthol–leaving me ready for a fully painted Unbound game (even if my list would just consist of all the painted stuff I own…)

Btw, you don't need to set beforehand what you plan on painting. So you can change your mind, add/delete models, etc in the middle of the challenge for the monththat you want to paint.

_I_ may list out my target models as well to try to keep my focus. Perhaps a new spreadsheet is in order…

Just remember: it's not a 7/11 unit, it's an 11/15 unit. Horthol must always come along.

Last week I took out everything that I have primed and (mostly) assembled from both PP and GW:

I painted the two Gun Mage units and their Officer last week. I still have plenty of stuff, so I guess I'm in too.

Oh, and for info, here are the GM units (painted to a playable state).

Jarl is almost done… hitting 35 is unlikely, but I'm planning on finishing Jarl and hopefully Borka. Should be able to finish everything I need by the BAO. Now I just have to figure out how to run all my models in 7 minutes…
